Patricia the host and lady boss is really warm and friendly! Making great effort to explain every dish and sharing heart felt stories of how the business started and her husband’s love of cooking. Food was also authentic and delish! I had a unique response experiencing home dining and enjoying my fave Perenakan dishes with my family this evening. Thank you Patricia and Nonya Bong!
I had a very heartwarming experience at Auntie Pat’s place. She took time to share with us the dishes on the tok Panjang. The food was awesome and it is definitely one of the most authentic Peranakan food one can have! It’s a pity that this place will be closed in Oct so come by and try it while you can!
Everything was great. The food was hearty and amazing, the ambience, comfortable and welcoming. The Kueh Pie Tee and the pork soup was especially good. The best thing about the experience was however aunty Pat - who was such a lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable host. Would highly recommend it to everyone!
I went to visit Nonya Bong today with my family and was treated a scrumptious feast and warm cozy environment. The food was delicious and the host Patricia was a delight with her story telling. Would definitely recommend!
They weren’t kidding when they said “Eat until pain”! We were treated to a hearty, home-cooked Peranakan meal hosted by Patricia, the wife of the late founding chef Jeffrey Chia. Patricia has lovingly upheld the high standards and spirit of his cooking, and throughout the meal, she shared touching stories about her husband’s passion for food. By the end, we were not only full, but still had enough leftovers to bring home and savour all over again. Sadly, Patricia mentioned that she won’t be able to continue doing this for long. So I would strongly recommend trying this slice of traditional Peranakan fare while you still can. A true gem.
This is such a lovely dining experience and auntie Pat made such a good host. Really enjoyed the dishes served and the thought and love that goes behind making these dishes. It’s so hard to choose a fav dish because every was simply just so good!
Aunty Pat delivers authentic flavours that feel lovingly crafted and true to tradition. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, making you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. Every dish bursts with richness and depth, and coupled with lovely stories. This experience was a gift.
Had an amazing dinner. Auntie Pat fills Uncle Jeffrey’s shoes admirably. The food was SO GOOD. Everyone should come and try!
